Breazeale is a second-term city council member in Minnetonka Beach.
Minnetonka Beach – Tracey Breazeale announces her candidacy for the Minnesota House in District 45A.
Breazeale is a former business executive with decades of experience managing diverse teams in client service. After leaving the private sector to raise her four children, Breazeale now uses her expertise in finance and business strategy to support her community as a city council member.
“Having managed both boardrooms and a busy family of six, I know what it takes to work together to get things done. I will use my balanced, pragmatic style at the legislature to work together to build practical solutions for our communities.”
Breazeale is most proud of working with her fellow council members and city staff to ensure the community has safe drinking water, including planning and funding a new water treatment plant, and securing federal funding for PFAS treatment. Breazeale has also been an advocate for neighborhood parks, and values community engagement.
“Listening to constituents is a critical part of public service. It can be difficult to represent diverse perspectives, but public officials should always be open and honest about their decisions. I’m running because we need leadership we can trust,” said Breazeale.
Tracey’s work on council has gained her the support of fellow elected officials, “I worked with Tracey on city council, and she is an effective elected official with a pragmatic, inclusive approach to governing,” said Jaci Lindstrom, former Mayor of Minnetonka Beach. “Tracey listens to all viewpoints, works through differences with civil, straight forward discussion, and arrives at thoughtful decisions in the best interest of all residents. We deserve a representative with integrity, which is why I am supporting Tracey Breazeale for Minnesota House.”
Breazeale has lived in Minnetonka Beach for over 20 years, with her husband, Jeff, who currently serves on the city planning commission. They have worked to instill this same sense of civic responsibility in their four children. Her perspectives are informed by her educational background with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and Economics, and a Masters in Business Administration.
House district 45A includes Excelsior, Greenwood, Long Lake, Minnetonka Beach, Minnetrista, Mound, Orono, Spring Park, St. Bonifacius, Tonka Bay, and part of Shorewood.
