About Tracey

Experienced Business Executive

I’m a former business executive with decades of experience managing diverse teams in client service. My career started in the financial sector and I went on to work for both global and local companies, including Boston Consulting Group and Sleep Number. I’ve worked on finance and business strategies for a wide range of clients, including retail and consumer product companies, financial services, and medical technology. I eventually left the private sector to focus on raising my four kids.

Civic Leader

I am currently serving my second term on Minnetonka Beach City Council, where I use my experience in finance and business to help our city provide quality public service. As a council member, I serve as a liaison to the Parks Commission, Dock Committee, as well as our local Civic Committee, which is dedicated to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment in our city. I have also served on the board of local nonprofit organizations.

Through my public service, I have found that the best ideas often come from those closest to the issues and that listening to constituents is an important part of making data-driven decisions. It can be difficult to represent diverse perspectives, but public officials should always be honest about their actions. As your representative, I promise to lead with integrity and treat everyone with respect – even if we disagree.

Minnesota Roots

I was born in Minnesota and spent my early years in St Louis Park and Excelsior. My dad was a lifelong Cargill employee and through him I learned the important role Minnesota businesses play not only in our state but across the world. He also believed that it was important to give back to those in need and was involved with Big Brothers, the United Way, and the Guthrie. My mom was also active in the community volunteering endless hours in the classroom, PTA, and League of Women’s Voters. My husband, Jeff, and I have worked to instill this same sense of civic responsibility in our four children. We are proud of the work they have done to improve our neighborhood parks, reduce food insecurity, and mentor underserved youth.

Though I spent my early years in Minnesota, I have also lived abroad and in many other states. My husband and I chose to start our family in Minnesota because of the many accessible and beautiful lakes, world-class education, thriving business community, and safe communities. We’ve enjoyed living in the Lake Minnetonka area for over 25 years. I want to ensure Minnesota remains a place that families want to call home and businesses want to invest in.
